Review by Steve Farrelly @ 01:36pm
A teaming up of characters from two once respected licenes, the DC Universe and Mortal Kombat in a fighting game might have seemed like a good idea, but the end result is a game that looks and feels out-of-date already...

Prince of Persia Review (Score: 7.5/10)
Review by Steve Farrelly @ 12:29pm
An all-new Prince of Persia with a revamped art style utilising the Assassin's Creed engine might sound like a great idea on paper, but what Ubisoft Montreal have delivered here is a beautiful tech-demo. The game is empty and falls short of ultimately engaging the player. It's still fun, but fundamentally lacking in many, many areas...

Left 4 Dead Review (Score: 9.3/10)
Review by Steve Farrelly @ 02:50pm
Fast running, hungry, angry zombies are the order of the day in your new favourite cooperative gameplay experience. Left 4 Dead takes the best elements from horror and zombie movies and crafts a multiplayer game more than worth the price of admission thanks to asymmetrical design, and pure fast-paced intensity...

Midnight Club LA Review (Score: 8.9/10)

A stunning game that recreates LA with great success. Plenty of cars, race modes and customisation options will keep players busy for a long time to come, provided they can deal with heightened element of challenge...

Combining disaster movies, action, romance and the cheesiest dialogue this side of any Michael Bay movie with various Wii interactions was actually a pretty good idea on Nintendo's part. Unfortunately Disaster: Day of Crisis is a constant reminder Nintendo needs to take the core gamer more seriously...

Tomb Raider Underworld is another fine addition to the restored Lara Croft franchise - a worthwhile purchase for anyone that enjoys third person action-puzzle type games and a no hesitation recommendation for anyone that's ever enjoyed a Tomb Raider game in the past.

Back to WWII but definitely not back to square one. Call of Duty: World At War takes the incredibly solid foundations of last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and builds upon them in various ways. It's stuff we've seen before, but a lot of it is definitely worth reliving omce again. And with a solid multiplayer and Zombie Nazis to tackle, this disc will be spinning in your platform of choice for quite a while to come...

Mirror's Edge Review (Score: 8.3/10)
Review by Steve Farrelly @ 04:04pm
Mirror's Edge tries many new things and equally gets many of them right. However, there is a painful element of trial and error involved, but if you can stand to deal with contanstly replaying portions of a game over and over, there's an ironically refreshing game here. for more info check out our review...

Sequel to one of the PS3's major launch titles, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift takes things from the arid dersert to the rain-drenched greens of an undisclosed island in the Pacific. Sandy beaches, rainforests and volcanic cliff-tops await the daring and brave, alongside an all-new vehicle class: Monster Trucks. Does Pacific Rift shift things enough to top its predecessor though? Fallout 3 Review (Score: 9.5/10)
Review by Steve Farrelly @ 11:15am
There are definitely a few gripes we have with Fallout 3, but they're not necessarily strong enough to dwarf what Bethesda have crafted here. Fallout 3 is one of the most thoughtful, expressive games in a long time. It lacks in some key areas it would be great to see Bethesda broaching as part of their design methods, but we just can't get angry when there're so many mutant zombie heads to explode...

Another Spider-man game gone wrong through an utter mismanagement of the character, lore and history. Swinging around is certainly a lot of fun alongside the crazy combo system, but these elements alone just aren;t enough to save Your Friendly Neigbourhood Spider-man from sheer disappointment. One down, on to the next one...
